Quick Weekend Stop

Grandma L and Grandpa R came for a quick weekend visit. It was their last trip to CA to see us before we move. Juliet and I picked them up from the airport and immediately headed down to the city to have lunch on the Pier and tour Alcatraz. We were gone for most of the day (even got caught in the commuter traffic.....). We met up with Jake for dinner at this delicious Mexican Restaurant by our house and stuffed our faces. Juliet caught a cold over Thanksgiving, and our trip to Alcatraz made it worse so we stayed in the next two days and played games, ate yummy food, and watched some tv. It was relaxing and just what we needed! I love having family come to visit, and I am sure gonna miss CA.

Juliet all bundled up. In the shade of the prison it was really cold!

Uncle S told us to try out this mini donut shop that makes fresh donuts and gives them to you in a bucket. So we did and we were not disappointed!

Sunday Juliet stayed home from church due to her cold so Grandma and Grandpa willingly took the responsibility of staying with her. Grandpa never turns down snuggles with his baby!

Thanksgiving

We went to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving and had such a fun time! Lots of family, food, and fun times. Jake and I got to spend a night down on the strip for our anniversary and Grandma and Grandpa watched Juliet for us. It was lovely. Juliet also met her great-grandparents. There was lots of cousin time and Juliet loved chasing all this kids around.

Our anniversary date night! Happy 4 years to us!

Little E and Juliet were fighting over Grandma! It was really funny and cute!

Meeting Great-Grandpa W

Juliet and E are three months apart. Juliet loved playing with E, but E wasn't so sure about this new girl on her turk

Uncle Jake is always a winner with the kids!

Juliet LOVED to climb up on the fireplace, but she didn't know how to get down herself so it was always a battle with her. She knows how to climb down now - of course

I love this picture so much. Juliet playing with Grandpa W

We also went to a basketball game with the siblings and Grandma and Grandpa watched all the kids. We of course did not take a picture, but we had a fun night. We got into the game and joked around. It was nice to hang out with family again. I love hanging out with Jake's family because we are the youngest, and it is nice to have "older siblings".

Lake Tahoe

We were able to chaperone some of the Young Women in our church on a trip up to Lake Tahoe. It was a quick trip, but it was lots of fun. We stayed up late watching movies, eating treats, and crafting. The next morning we had waffles, went shopping, and stopped at the lake. It was fun to be able to spend some time away before this crazy Holiday season begins.

My super cute, fun friends.

Betty Boop - for my Grandma B, because she looooves Betty Boop!

Halloween

This Halloween we kept it simple (or in other words, lame). Juliet doesn't really care, and I just didn't want to put in the effort of making a cute Halloween costume this year. I found an awesome Gryffindor shirt - cape included at the store, and so that inspired me to buy character shirts. Juliet was a pink batman and Jake had a darth vader shirt. It was cute! We went to our church chili cook-off and trunk-or-treat. Juliet helped me hand out candy. Then we got a visit from Grandma and Grandpa W. We got to spend some time with them and cousins M and S. We went to the zoo and ate yummy food! On actual Halloween day, we fed the missionaries and a "trick-or-treater" brought us treats! It was a delightful surprise!

I think she likes her costume!

Milestones

Juliet has made lots of progress in the last few weeks. It has been so much fun to watch her learn and grow. We love her so much!
Juliet's teeth are now big enough that they are in need of brushing. She only has two teeth, but is this not adorable!? She enjoys brushing her teeth

As soon as we got back from Utah, Juliet just started standing up all on her own. It was so cool!

Could you just cry?

2.5 weeks after Juliet started standing, she started walking! She is always on the move!

Park City 2016

My parents celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last month and Juliet and I were able to go and help them celebrate! We were able to spend a week in Park City (which is a tradition we've been doing since we were kids). We went swimming every day, watched movies, participated in cupcake wars, played games, did a puzzle, and ate delicious food. Juliet loved it and I did too! Jake took the responsible way and stayed home to work. We sure missed him. One of my favorite things about the condo in Park City is the giant fire pits that they have outside. One morning I went out and sat at the fire pit and took in all the beauty of the world around me. What a blessing.

Juliet loved looking out the window on the airplane. It kept her quite entertained.
I love that she has no fear whatsoever.

I love snuggling this little bear

Grandpa R and Grandma L loving all the baby JuJu time

Auntie A and Uncle J. Juliet loved playing with them.

On our last day in Utah we stopped at the pumpkin patch that is across the street from where my parents live. It was fun to see all the pumpkins and scarecrows. Juliet even got to pet a goat which she thought was so funny!

We had tons of fun in Utah and we can't wait to go back again - this time with Jake too!

Family Pictures

We got our family pictures taken and I am obsessed. Little Juliet is a model baby - seriously! We are lucky enough to have a talented friend who takes photos, so she took the pictures for us and she did a fantastic job! I am so happy with how they all turned out!

Juliet is all about this standing business and it took a lot of work for us to get her to stand still and not go for a walk!

Seriously though

 I love my family!

This took us about 100 tries as well. Juliet did not like it one bit!

Juliet sure loves her daddy!

Just a few of our pictures. I am so happy with the way they turned out and I can't wait to decorate my family room with these adorable pictures!

J&A

We made another quick trip to Utah because J and A were getting sealed in the temple on their one year anniversary! We could not miss it no matter what! We were so excited. It also happened to be over Labor Day weekend - so we got to stay a little longer because Jake had the day off of work. Hooray for Holidays and wonderful family celebrations! We spent the day with J and A and their "extended" families and ate yummy food - of course! and chatted. Then we piled in the car and headed down to Manti for the temple sealing. Here are some pictures.
The W family! A completes our family in such a perfect way.
She is the best wife for J possible.
Jake and I have really enjoyed getting to know her and we are looking forward to our upcoming cruise to spend lots of time with J and A.
I also love having another sister-in-law

Juliet with Aunt A. Usually Juliet is all smiles for A, but she was teething on our trip.
Teething = no expectations

Our little family with J and A at the Manti Temple. So beautiful.

I loved this picture because it is represents J and A so well. They are so in love, silly, and best friends. I honestly am so grateful that J has A in his life and for how she makes him better, and he makes her better.

The siblings

And of course. A shot of our family! I was 14 weeks pregnant with Juliet the day J and A were married in Manti the year before. And in this picture she just turned 7 months old.
